Its not debatable. There is enough info out there that Deep wounds does more TPS than any other spec. So its better for aoe and single target.

meh. coming next patch, gemming for parry is just as good as for dodge. (maybe even better due to the large amounts of dodge but lack of parry out there. There may be a small margin of gain recieved as long as you gem into the lower one.)

As for the deep wounds spec, if you go by the tank spot guides, they mention that it is debatable wheather or not the deep wounds spec will beat the cruelty spec. It will of course beat it in AoE tanking, but thats not what war tanks are for. Same with glyph of cleaving. Its all AoE, but if you go glyph of blocking or what not you can do better single target aggro and survival.

Glyph of cleaving, devestate and sunder armor = AoE war setup
Glyph of Blocking, Revenge and heroic strike = Single taget war setup

Also never gem for parry. This is very bad. Gem for expertise if undercapped but other than that you want to gem for stamina and dodge(agility).

Yesterday in 10man nax i noticed 2 of our tanks with some wierd specs. Right now the best spec for warrior tanks is the deep wounds spec. You get better aoe threat and better single target threat. Now the deeps wounds spec works better with a slow main hand for increased bleed dmg but still works great with a fast main hand. Also glyph of cleave is awsome for aoe tanking and or on the bosses that the off tank or main tank has to hold multiple adds. The spec that you should use looks something like this. http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#LAM00fZhbZVctrx0didszsGo:MNdMmz
Improved spell reflection is useless until they fix it so we can use it on all bosses. Improved disarm is useless because u cant disarm any bosses and it really doesn't help on trash. Puncture is useless because when your mt. you shouldn't have rage issues. This might help you when off tanking or bosses that only need one tank but u should have duel spec and should switch to a dps spec. The reason I use glyph of cleave and shock wave instead of any other is because they really help aoe threat and with deep wounds you shouldn't have any problems with single target threat. Now I dont know if you know this but devastate is garbage now. So glyphing for that or sunderarmor is fail. You do more TPS(threat per second) with shieldslam shockwave revenge thunderclap and concussion blow than using devastate. you guys should be using all these skills before devastate. Devastate should be used once u have good agro to help out melee with the sunders. Please read this and if you want proof of all these things I wrote take a look at www.elitistjerks.com go to the forums section and check out the warrior section.[center]
